The drywall hoist is designed to hold a 4- by 8-foot or a 4- by 12-foot drywall sheet in position on the ceiling during fastening. It provides the best means for a single person to accomplish a job that normally requires at least two people. The drywall hoist, which is similar in design to a large easel, has the ability to hold a drywall sheet securely while tilting it from the vertical to the horizontal plane. A hand crank raises and lowers the drywall sheet to the desired height, and the wheels on the hoist’s feet allow you to position the drywall sheet while it is very close to the ceiling joists.
